Since 2005, Idaho Physical Therapy has proudly supported Chapel Missions India, an organization that provides free care to the needy in India with year-round financial support and annual medical mission trips, attended by our own Alan and Bette Williams.
During the medical mission trips, the CMI team holds medical camps in village slums for people who might otherwise never see a doctor in their entire life. They teach lifesaving CPR and first aid techniques to orphanage workers and provide medical check-ups for the HIV/AIDS patients in the community. Recently, they’ve established contact with leaders of the leper communities, which they hope can be their entire focus during the next trip.
On the physical therapy side of things, Alan and Bette treat a wide variety of conditions, many of which are not typically found in the US (such as chikungunya and individuals crippled by polio). They also distribute canes, walkers, and wheelchairs to those who have no access to them.
Idaho Physical Therapy supports this cause by donating time, equipment, and supplies. To learn more or to find out how you can help, explore the links below.
